This book is dedicated to my husband, Antonio, and my children, Gabriel, Jacob, Caleb, Jordan, and Micah.  Thank you for doing your best to be patient with me while I ventured out into the world of novelists.  I started, quit, and began again more times than I care to mention.  Thank you for always being the reasons I started and the motivation I needed to finish.  The six of you are my foundation.

Also, special thanks to my dearly departed father-in-law, Charles Elkins, Jr.  We began our debut novels at the same time and he was one of my biggest supporters.  Our writing styles were wildly different, but we kept each other on track.  He received his wings before our books were complete and it was hard to continue without him.  I stopped writing for more than a year.  I miss our talks, Papa C, but look... I finished it and your name is still in a book!
